Internet access

The Library provides free access to the Internet to meet the information needs of the University community:

  • The Library offers wireless access (Wi-Fi): to use the service, you must have a MyUnito profile.

  • The Library has desktop computers available to users; almost all of them require a MyUnito profile to login. Our computers are available during opening hours.

Off-Campus Access

Off-campus access to licensed library resources is restricted to active students and academic staff of the University of Turin. Registered members must use their authentication credentials (username and password).

To access resources, it is necessary to configure the University Proxy server on your browser.

Computer use policy

  • Library users are responsible for any consequences of copyright infringement through their use of Library computers and may not use them for any unlawful purposes.
  • Computer users can save materials either by emailing to personal email account or by saving them to a flash drive (you will need to bring your own).  Computers do not allow downloading software.
  • No reservations are needed to use the Library computers and there are no time limits: however, if the computer demand is very high, users may be asked to log off in order to provide equal opportunity for all users
