Users and borrowers are expected to treat library materials in a responsible manner, in order to preserve them and to ensure availability for other users; they are responsible for returning materials within the due date.
The Library lends different numbers of items to different categories of readers: those who are eligible to borrow materials must present an appropriate ID.

The whole material in the library is available for borrowing, with a few exceptions:
- Books published before 1930 and fragile materials
- Dissertations and Theses
- Dictionaries, Encyclopaedias, etc.
- Maps (items may be borrowed, but must be returned on the same day before closing time)
